DEFINE SUCCESS.

Building a home business isn’t always easy. You’ll spend a good year learning what works and what doesn’t. Some days you’ll be convinced you’re doing the right thing. Other days it will feel like at home business success is elusive. It’s all too much effort and you want to throw in the towel. So how will you know you’ve “made it”? What will at home business success look like for you? For me, every day that I don’t have to work for someone else, that I get to plan my day however I want, go where I want when I want and never have to answer to anyone – that is success. Of course I need a certain amount of money coming in to allow me to do that, but you get the idea. Ask yourself what’s important to you about this endeavor. Is it to spend more time with your kids? Find more time for leisure? For travel? Earn enough money to live comfortably (or extravagantly)? Or make money hand over fist and be financially free within five years? There are some who say you have to get big to be successful. But that takes away from being a "small" business, doesn't it? My friend Dr. James Chan, author of Spare Room Tycoon, has a lot to say on this subject. The bottom line is you have to define success for yourself and see how it starts showing up for you. Chances are, you’re already well on your way to your own definition of it.
