The biggest mistake I made initially was not telling more people about my business and not being more upfront with it. Now everyone knows." This may not be unique to women, but it is certainly one of our strong points...building alliances that are also friendships on personal and professional levels that extend beyond the boardroom...or the golf course! As for mistakes, I was too quick to jump at 'free money' that you think will last forever but barely lasts long enough to get your feet wet. Jumping into an SBA loan without looking at all the options available through the Women’s Development Council and similar organizations -- this is going to be the make or break for me.
